By road: From Havelian, take the Pirsohawa Road towards Nathiagali. After about 15 kilometers, you will see a signboard for Umbrella Waterfall. Turn left here and drive for about 5 kilometers to reach the village of Poona. From Poona, it is a 15-minute hike down to the waterfall.

By hiking: There is also a hiking trail that leads to Umbrella Waterfall from Nathiagali. The hike is about 6 kilometers long and takes about 3 hours to complete.

The best time to visit Umbrella Waterfall is during the monsoon season (July to September). This is when the waterfall is at its fullest and the water is the clearest. However, the waterfall is also beautiful during the spring and autumn seasons.
